Updated March 31, 2020
On March 11th, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of coronavirus, known as COVID-19, to be a global pandemic. Since then, the outbreak has evolved rapidly with governments around the world taking swift action to slow the spread of COVID-19.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are adding an "extenuating circumstances policy" specific to COVID-19 aligning it with the travel industry.
We want to help protect our community and hope to provide our valued clients peace of mind.
Ways Harrington House at Rice Point is addressing COVID-19
- Enhancing our cleaning and disinfecting
- Minimizing / eliminating soft surfaces where possible
- Adding a COVID-19 extenuating circumstance policy

COVID-19 Update May 15, 2020
A Provincial State of Emergency was declared on April 17, 2020 stating that all non-essential travel into Prince Edward Island is prohibited. A date is not yet available for when non-residents will be permitted to enter Prince Edward Island.
We are hopeful that over the coming months that broader travel options may be possible but at this time we are only able to accept reservations from residents of PEI.
To find out the latest information about PEI’s current travel state, check out their website following https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/topic/covid-19. We look forward to hosting you in the near future.
